Company Strategy
The Ethio sugar’s business model is a unique innovative one. It involves farmers, pastorals and workers, and government as shareholders. It draws capital from local individual and institutional investors. Finally, it engages an experienced international sugar cane industry consulting group with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) having access to world class technology. This innovative partnership brings workers efficiency, local community ownership, huge employment opportunities and industrial peace for stability and profitability. Both regional and federal government will be on board as this model is in line with current privatization policy pillars which demand minor community ownership, drawing FDI with strong industry/sector experience of not less than 20 years and involving local banks and investors as much as possible.
